Use our hand-held Nutmet Grater with the whole nutmegs that come in this handy package. Freshly grated nutmeg is more pungent and flavorful that the pre-grated variety. We include some recipes, too. 1 oz. whole nutmegs. Nutmeg is the seed of the apricot-like fruit of the nutmeg tree. The seed is covered by a hard shell and a lacy web of mace. Both the blades of mace and the nutmeg kernel are used in cooking.
